Golf, big boobs, trading cards. I had no idea we shared a name with such illustrious publishing ventures. Maybe we could collaborate and publish a magazine of visual poetry golf played by large-breasted card-traders. Maybe we could share mailing lists! Maybe they could share their printing budget (ah, I'd love to do more with color than we have been able to do).
I wonder if any of those magazines could sue us. I don't know who arrived at the title SCORE Magazine first. We've been at it -- without the golf and XXX pictures for twenty years now.
At any rate, I'm much enjoying reading for SCORE 19 -- emerging writers, oft-published writers new to SCORE. I'm enjoying the inititial shaping, whelping visual, verbal and visual/verbal work by Tom Taylor, Carrie Hunter, Marian Shapiro, Norman Lock, Toria Clark, Bob Grumman, Kari Edwards, Marton Koppany, w. allegrezza, Gustave Morin, Bill Marsh, Matthew Stolte, and others. Each work is an element, a protein, an enzyme, through which a more complex chemical reaction, I hope, occurs. At this point, two-three months before 19 appears, there are some gaps in the amino chains. In other words, I'm still reading
