I wonder not only who is standing on those pedestals but who built them.

You know where I stand.

I admire even more men and women who spend their lives fighting against unjust wars.

I admire even more men and women who put their lives in jeopardy for a just cause, a justice they understand and believe will benefit many beyond their historical era.

For those who stand, I admire men and women who risk their lives for a cause they understand.

We’re hoisting soldiers onto tipsy pedestals, yellow stickers plastered on shallow cars.
