A beautiful direct, engaging, provocative studious series of hay(na)ku poems came to a conclusion as of July 7. (One of the strengths of blogging is observing a series in progress across time, mixed with other events, concerns, looking forward to them much as readers must have looked forward to the next installments in serialized novels ((is anyone serializing novels on the web now?))). We'll harken back to this series as a classic of the hayna(ku) genre. I read them as I read fresh air. As they reflected/refracted Wittgenstein's ideas, honed down by Beckett's sharp intelligence, the poems cut through the static we're too often hounded by in our surroundings. These poems made me stop, breathe, think. I didn't have to do anything else.
Check out all 27 of 'em (scroll/troll into the archives to get 'em all) at Worderos. And hopefully, as Shanna Compton suggests in the comments section to #27, we'll get the chance to read them published as a group.
