Ah, I'd like to take that walk sometime!
You brought this book up for me a couple times. But I have had yet to nab a copy. It does seem that the realzation of the political poem is yet to be...awesome, but Kaia did take us on an attempt at said realization that was in fact awesome, in a walk from the Portland Expo Center (the site of concentration camps for the Japanese in WWII), traces of the Vanport flood, and the ecological mess of Portland's watershed. It cohered, & it also didn't. But it was awesome, a spur.
